UPDATED MAY 14, 2013

Rehtaeh's mother Leah, said today on the FB Memorial page-Click Here:

Today is May 14th, 14yrs ago today we said goodbye to my mother...Today we also held Rehtaeh's burial with a few family members and close friends...The crows that she loved so much were in full attendance as well. We put Jasper's ashes with her just as she would have wanted. I didnt say goodbye because in my heart/soul you will always be...

The Parson's family-Click Here- released by the family today, April, 17th, 2013, the following message of continued harassment of this grieving family by cruel, deranged people continues:

"Really??? They stop at nothing...First the family/friends of the perpetrators make pages about my daughter trying to paint her in the most negative light as possible. Now, they post flyers stapled to our street on poles stating "Speak The Truth". This once again highlights who they are as people. This is our street , we are mourning our daughter, my children live in this neighbourhood. If you wanted to speak the truth...why didnt you speak when Rehtaeh was alive...you push her to suicide then you continue with this bullshit!!! Really???? You have no compassion....but we knew that already"

Where are the Police to arrest these cowards who are torturing this family?  It doesn't take a genius to stake out the street with surveillance, and catch those in the act of hurting this family even more than they have already been damaged by the cruelty of others. It's called basic police work, neighborhood watch by the citizens who live near by, where are the decent people in their community of Cole Harbour?

Can this community and its legal system not even protect the Parson's family and the memory of Rehtaeh, with the simplest of dignity in the tragedy of their daughter's death, for they are the victims, yet they continue to be disrespected, bullied.

How can a community be so silent and allow these criminals to post such hateful, signs on the street of the Parson's family?.

Where is the shame Canada, Cole Harbour, Nova Scotia  this family needs your support, your protection, and NOT your silence?

"Speak the truth", these ignorant signs say. The TRUTH IS that Rehtaeh Parsons IS THE VICTIM, SHE is dead, dead is FOREVER, the criminals are alive, punish them, hold them accountable for what they have done and continue to do.There is NO other truth that matters, no rationalizations, explanations, excuses will suffice.

People know who these latest criminals posting the signs are, and know the rapists that gang raped this child.  Your silence is deafening. Those who gang raped Rehtaeh, cyber bullied her, and are now bullying this family, need to be arrested and punished. What are you waiting for Canada? Stop them NOW!

There is a blog that has exposed the details including the names of the rapists and their supporters-Click Here.

The Halifax Canada teenager Rehtaeh Parsons 17 years old, was taken off life-support on Sunday, the end of yet another tragic case of cyber bullying.

Leah Parsons said her daughter hanged herself in the bathroom on Thursday.

“I didn’t even knock on the door. I just picked it open and could feel the weight of her body on the door. I didn’t think anything. I just opened the door and said ‘Rehtaeh.’ Then I had to cut her down. She was hung. She was hanging.”

She had hung herself in the bathroom of her home with torturous feelings of no hope left to continue living her enormously painful life.

Rehtaeh Parsons remains were buried on April 13, 2013.

About 500 mourners packed into Rehtaeh's funeral at Saint Mark's Anglican Church that began around 11 a.m. local time.

Friends in the teen's community of Cole Harbour, N.S., came out in the snow and sleet around 10 p.m. Friday night for a vigil to honour her.

Rehtaeh's mother, Leah, "said this was very touching and provided her support and comfort," Angella Parsons told reporters following the service. "We are eternally grateful for the large gathering of friends and strangers that Rae’s story has touched."My family asks for privacy today out of respect for Rehtaeh,” she added.

Anonymous of Halifax has scheduled a peaceful protest for Sunday April 13 at 2pm in front of the Halifax Regional Police headquarters. -Click here- They stated in a NEW release dated April 13,  that: "Anonymous of Halifax would like to thank the collective at large for working diligently to bring the eyes of the world upon our community. Without your help, there would be no justice for Rehteah Parsons.

However, we must express our concern at the calls for protest scheduled this Sunday at 2pm in front of the Halifax Regional Police headquarters. This protest has been scheduled without consultation of the local collective, and thus has no organizers.

We fear that many in the collective at large misunderstand Halifax as another Steubenville. You might not be aware that we have a vibrant activist community here. You might not be aware that we have an active Black Block, and militant anti-capitalist community. Without organization, this protest is merely an invitation for anyone who has beef with the RCMP and Halifax Regional Police to come express their anger violently.

Anonymous of Halifax has resolved to change this, to ensure the safety of our community and that the good name of Anonymous is protected. We pride ourselves on our positive relationship with the Halifax Regional Police, and unlike other groups we have worked and will continue to work closely with them. The Halifax Regional Police has had our back, protected us from harm, and acted in good faith as brokers of discussion for us in the past. Despite our disappointment with the local RCMP, these facts will never be forgotten.

To anyone planning to attend this protest: we welcome and encourage your attendance... but sully the name of Anonymous  or Rehteah Parsons through acts of violence at your own risk.

Rehtaeh's family has made very clear their desire for any actions to be an expression of love and tolerance, a characteristic of Rehteah's nature. We ask anyone who plans to attend to keep this fact at the front of their mind. Anonymous demands Justice for Ray Parsons, not retribution.

Knowledge is our weapon. And it just so happens that knowledge is free.We do not forgive. We do not forget.
Expect us.

Parsons was the victim of a gang rape in 2011 at the age of 15, and a continuous online bullying campaign, according to a post from her mother, Leah Parsons, on a Facebook Memorial Page-Click Here.

Her father Glen Canning has also created his own online page -click here, titled "Rehtaeh Parsons was my daughter". He said " My daughter wasn’t just bullied to death, she was disappointed to death. Disappointed in people she thought she could trust, her school, and the police. She was my daughter, but she was your daughter too. For the love of God do something. I feel like I’m dead inside".

Mr. Canning also stated " There’s a wooden box in my house that holds all the memories I have of my beautiful little girl. The outfit she wore home from the hospital, a hand print in clay, art, school cards and drawings, mementoes of her life. Even a newspaper dated December 9th, 1995, the day she came into this world.I tried to keep it all for her, to have someday when she grew up and had her own family. That day will never come.Yesterday I looked at another wooden box. It will hold her ashes. I hate it."

Another tragic story of rape, bullying, and suicide of a young person. This time it is Canada's SHAME.  A child with her whole life in front of her, harmless, defenseless,  an innocent human being, destroyed forever dead, rotting in a grave, because of the trauma caused by being raped, and then the constant, endless harassment by those monsters in her community that thought what they did "was fun".

It wasn't horrific enough that "they" gang raped her, but then took photos of it, distributing them to her class mates and the community because "it would be fun to distribute the photos", said one of the involved "alleged rapists".

Her mother and family did everything within their power to help this child. The police did nothing as apparently they stated the photos were not sufficient proof, the bullying not reason enough to protect her from these sub human cowards who relentlessly mocked her as if she had done something wrong.

Once again, the victim gets blamed as somehow bizarrely being the "bad" person and "deserving" of the agony that drove her to kill herself.

Many will say its somehow her fault that she killed herself, she was depressed, and that it was her weakness that caused the suicide. Bullshit!!!!

If any "normal" human being gets violated by others through a robbery, burglary, stolen identity, disrespected in some manner, it causes a natural traumatic reaction of anger, depression, anxiety, stress.

WTF do you think happens when someone is raped and their body is literally violated. Of course she was depressed and NO it wasn't her fault that she killed herself. SHE WAS THE VICTIM and NOTHING she did was deserving of what was done to her.

Everyone, especially a 17 year old has an emotional breaking point, and Rehtaeh was pushed over the edge of hers by beasts who had no consciences, no limits to their cruelty.

Those who did nothing to support her, you are also cowards, accomplices guilty of killing her.

Conspicuously silent are the members of the Cole Harbor High School District community, near Halifax, where Rehtaeh was raped in 2011.

Mostly everyone in that community knew and knows the 4 criminals who gang raped her, those those that endlessly bullied this girl. Their children, and most of that adult community have apparently not come forward in the past to defend Rehtaeh from being bullied or demanded now that those who raped her be held responsible for their actions.

Instead the overwhelming silence of that community in the past, and even today, of her neighbors has spoken a million words of the indifference, guilt, and cowardice in their protecting those who killed this young girl.

Who are these people? How can they remain quiet in the face of such horror while the killers, rapists, cyber bullies that destroyed Rehtaehs life remain free?

Clearly these are not people of conscience and certainly not worthy of the slightest whiff of respect, as they are gutless weak "bystanders" who think it is not their business to get involved. My god, a child is dead and they feel it's not their responsibilty to get justice for the death of a human being.

On March 3, Rehtaeh posted a photo of herself on Facebook next to a quote from Martin Luther King Jr.,
“In the end, we will remember not the words of our enemies, but the silence of our friends.”

Those who read this story and think that this is so horrible, what if this was your child who killed themselves?

What if your children were the bullies, do you not have the responsibility as parents to monitor their behavior?

Right this moment, in your community, your town, village, Country, there are children being bullied, harassed, on the verge of suicide because they are feeling alone, not supported. What are you doing to stop this epidemic from destroying more children? Do you know what your children are doing and where they are right now?

Remember she is the VICTIM, she was the one with the courage to try fighting those who mercilessly preyed on her, those that did nothing and ignored what was happening, the justice system that failed her, they are the criminals who murdered her by their actions, inaction's.

Rehtaeh was the love of her parents life. Parents such as hers and myself who lost my son Steven Wolkoff at the hands of others who didn't care about killing them, live for our children, and when they are killed it is a life long wound of agonizing pain that we carry forever.

The naming of Rehtaeh (Heather spelled backwards) made her unique and she lived her short life as a loving, caring unique human being. We should never bury our children, they are supposed to bury us.

It is important that we all take a stand here and SAY NO MORE to abuse, bullying, and killing of our innocent children.

To do that the story of Rehtaeh needs to be sent all over the world so that she is remembered and those who killed her  brought to justice.

From my own personal experiences with the law throughout my sons case, I have learned never to expect justice from the corrupt, injust dysfunctional justice system. The legal system is busy issuing hollow, meaningless statements now about reviewing Rehtaeh's case, don't believe them. The only thing they care about is protecting their own political asses and the sick system they represent.

Don't for a second believe that the law enforcement system gives a rats ass about Rehtaeh and her family.

The ONLY thing they respond to is publicity, specifically the pressure of bad publicity that exposes those in charge of enforcing the laws as frauds.

Please everyone share this blog story with others and spread the word of this horrific tragedy so that the world may notice what has happened, demand justice NOW!

There is a short memory span in today's world for tragedies and while the media has publicized this story, it will fade away soon as usually happens to these kinds of horrors. NOW while there is momentum is the time to increase pressure on telling the world what is going on in this case.

The trauma of the rape and ongoing bullying caused depression and suicidal thoughts. Parsons tried to hang herself last week, according to the Chronicle Herald.

The rape allegedly took place when Parsons was just 15 and a student at Cole Harbour District High School, near Halifax.

"One of those boys took a photo of her being raped and decided it would be fun to distribute the photo to everyone in Rehtaeh’s school and community where it quickly went viral," her mother wrote on Facebook. Her mother's post has been shared thousands of times since it first appeared on Monday. Listen to the full interview.

Comments to the Chronicle Herald's story on Parsons are closed but many on Twitter are reacting to the story. Click here to see more Twitter outrage.

"They investigated and a year later it pretty much came down to "he said, she said". Not enough evidence. As far as the actual photo was concerned they didn't feel it was a police issue that the photo was taken and distributed even though she was a minor at the time," Leah Parsons told CBC's Maritime Noon.

"She was never left alone. She had to leave the community. Her friends turned against her. People harassed her. Boys she didn't know started texting her and Facebooking her asking her to have sex with them. It just never stopped," her mother told CBC.

RCMP spokesman Cpl. Scott MacRae told the Chronicle Herald and CBC that police conducted an investigation into the alleged sexual assault and, in consultation with the Crown, determined there wasn't enough evidence to lay charges.

In a related development, the famous vigilant hacker group Anonymous has released the following statement as of April 12 where they have the confession of 1 of the rapists and the names (not release by them yet) of all 4 rapists.

"FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE -- April 12, 2013 - 12PM GMT- Greetings from Anonymous. Please be aware of the following facts:

1) One of the alleged rapists has made several public statements admitting that he did have sex with Rehtaeh on the night in question. He admits she was inebriated at the time, also that she was throwing up during the act.

2) During his confession, he names three other boys and admits that they too took turns having sex with Rehtaeh that night as well. The names match with those we have confirmed during our investigation.

3) The individual making this confession is the same boy identified in the photograph. He has also admitted to being in the photograph and named the accomplice who took the picture.

4) All information, including screenshots of the confession, have been made available to the police.

5) Two boys have been implicated repeatedly whom we believe are innocent based on numerous testimonies given by individuals with first hand knowledge of the surrounding events.

6) There are multiple witnesses who were classmates of the alleged rapists that can confirm they were shown the photograph of Rehtaeh by them.

7) At the very least, there was a house with a minimum of half a dozen underage students consuming alcohol and engaging in sexual intercourse. What happened in this house resulting in the spread of child pornography. This much the police will agree to. No charges have been filed in regards to this.

Why is Anonymous involved in this case? We are involved because the facts above clearly illustrate that several crimes have been committed in Nova Scotia.

A 17-year-old girl killed herself because the police failed to do their jobs and charge a single person for any of them.

Is it necessary for Anonymous to be involved in this case? Yes. For a moment lets set aside the theatrics, the masks and the labels. We are group of concerned citizens that have recognized an injustice in the system. We have taken it upon ourselves to point out that injustice to the public and we are asking the police to correct their incompetent handling of this case--a young girl has already died from it.

An image of a 15-year-old girl having sex was viral in Cole Harbour District High School. Neither the school nor the police dispute this. By legal definition that image was child pornography. By some estimates, hundreds of individuals have already seen the photograph, including many adults. The police have seen the photograph. The fact that this evidence was disregarded as inappropriate for any kind of arrest by the police is unconscionable.

What the police are saying to the citizens of Nova Scotia is clear: Having underage students drinking and having sex in your home is not a crime in our community. Photographs of 15-year-old girls having sex is not child pornography, but if it is, the distribution of that child pornography is not a crime. A 15-year-old girl is capable of giving her consent to sex even after she is inebriated to the point that she vomits while hanging out of a window--it is not sexual assault.

We urge the RCMP to act like guardians, set the proper example for the young men of Nova Scotia and send a clear message: This behavior will not be tolerated in our communities. The women and young girls of Nova Scotia should not have to live in fear or be forced to hide evidence of a rape because they will be called whores.

As we have previously warned, the identities of these individuals have already began to circulate online independent of our own actions. We have done our best to keep those names from being released. Two young men are being implicated in a crime we know they did not commit. Is it illegal for us to release their identities and let the world know that they are innocent? What justice will be made available to them once their names are slandered throughout the world and for all time?

It is not for the police to decide the facts presented here do not constitute a crime. That is the responsibility of a jury. A claim of sexual assault has been made. There is photographic evidence of it. There is an admission that child pornography was distributed throughout the community. One of the individuals who should be charged hasn't even disputed these facts.

We are asking--no, we are demanding: Let a jury decide. Follow your own procedures and protect the innocent.

We do not seek vigilante justice. If those who we believe are guilty are exonerated in a court of law, Anonymous will disappear from Nova Scotia.

If we decide to release the names a deadline will be declared at least one week in advance.

We are Anonymous. We are legion. The honest support us.The corrupt fear us.The heroic join us. Expect us"

A COMPREHENSIVE, very well written story detailing the entire story of Rehtaeh Parsons  life during the past 2 years can be found by clicking on here.

Photos posted to her Parsons' Twitter account show the young woman partying with friends, marijuana or alcohol often in frame, along with images of her tattoos, cats and dogs.

Online reaction to Parsons' death has been swift.

Over 43,253 messages as of May 14th have flooded the FB memorial page set up by her mother.

Rehtaeh Parsons' friends and family have also been sharing memories and tributes to her on Facebook.

Rehtaeh's mother announced on 4/10/13 that "Today I find just a little comfort because I was just informed that Rehtaeh gave life to four people via organ donation and the gift of sight to a 5th person".

Her father also commented that "I found out this afternoon my daughter saved the life of a young woman with her heart. How fitting.

She also gave someone a new liver, a kidney, a new breath, and a new chance to love. She saved the lives of five people with her final gift of life. She was that wonderful.

Someone out there is going to look at the world with my daughter’s eyes. The most beautiful eyes I have ever seen"

In the Parsons family's darkest moments they have been generous and thoughtful to think of a way to help others in need by giving the gift of life to 5 complete strangers

These are the super human acts of decent, kind, caring, compassionate people, unlike the sub human evil animals who harmed their child and still don't have the guts to come forward to be held accountable for torturing Rehtaeh.

If you want to help, get involved, you can sign a petition demanding that the Nova Scotia Department of Justice immediately open an official investigation of the rape, cyber bullying, and handling of Rehtaeh's case, click on here.

You can also communicate your feelings to the Nova Scotia Department of Justice to insist that an official inquiry be opened into the rape and susequent on line cyber bullying of Rehtaeh Parsons.

Parsons' story echoes two other recent high-profile cases. In B.C., the death of bullied high schooler Amanda Todd sparked an online outcry. In that case, bullies also spread explicit photos.

In the United States, two teens in Steubenville, Ohio were recently found guilty of raping a teen girl who was unconscious at a party and then posting photos and videos online.

  • One woman in four will sexually assaulted during her lifetime.
  • 683,000 adult American women are forcibly raped each year. This equals 56,916 per month; 1,871 per day; 78 per hour; and 1.3 per minute.
  • Only 16% of rapes are ever reported to the police.
  • 61% of rapes occurred before the victims were eighteen years old. 29% occurred when the victims were younger than eleven

And the world barely notices, "not my child, just another crazy kid killing themself, never would happen in our place" you think, and continue to ignore the ugliness that envelops us more as each day passes.

This is what the world has come down to, another human life that has no value to a society that simply shrugs off murder as if it were nothing important.

Indeed, a waste of another human life, a common daily occurence all over the world, no-one even blinks anymore to these horrors.

The world is a crazy, twisted, sick place where right is wrong, and wrong is right.

The stench of this cesspool that is called a "civilized" society is in fact a jungle filled with animals who have no rules, no accountability, and no soul

REST IN PEACE REHTAEH PARSONS- YOU WERE A HUMAN BEING-YOU LIVED AND YOU SHOULD BE ALIVE TODAY.
