On Friday, Anonymous called for an INTERNET BLACKOUT-Click Here- in protest of CISPA,
which passed the House on Thursday. If signed into law, CISPA would make
it legal for websites to give your personal information to the U.S.
government without your permission. Naturally, the hacker collective
anonymous is not happy, calling for an Internet protest on Monday, April
22.
A subset of Anonymous, posting on a site titled Anon Insiders, posted the following:
We are going dark on MONDAY April 22nd at 6 AM GMT for 24 hours to protest your illogical and terrorizing bill against the Internet itself. Even with the whole Internet crying out to stop this BILL, the US House of Representatives failed to do so blinded by lobbyist’s money and cum in your eyes. So we will take action ourselves and open your eyes. Every popular/mainstream websites will be black until you, Mr. DronObama promise us to use your VETO power to stop this bill at Senate. Take this as a protest or a warning, as you wish. One thing is for certain, neither you or anyone else in this world can control the Internet, so don’t even try.
The plan doesn't involve shutting down or attacking the Internet in any way, it just wants all websites to go dark in protest for 24 hours on Monday. It is not yet known which websites will participate in this blackout.

UPDATED-APRIL 18
It’s
time to get pissed. The U.S. law that would turn Google, Facebook,
and Twitter into legally immune government spies just passed the
House.
And, in response to Rep. Mike Rogers' accusation that CISPA opponents are just "14 year-old tweeter[s] in the basement", we thought we'd also challenge Rep. Rogers to get on live national television and debate a 14 year-old in a basement on CISPA. The search for the 14 year-old begins. Are you or do you know a 14 year-old who could totally school a congressman on this issue? Please forward this email to them!
This
bill affects everyone -- not just U.S. citizens. Anyone with a
Facebook account could now have their data shipped directly to the U.S.
government. That's why Internet users overwhelmingly oppose this bill.
Over 1.5 million people signed petitions against it. But Congress
didn’t listen.
Does this remind you of something? Yep, this is the exact position we were in with SOPA last year. Then the Internet rose up and we made history with the SOPA strike.
CISPA
threatens our most basic rights. Privacy is important not just for
our security but for our rights to freedom of expression. The giant
tech companies that stood with Internet users against SOPA are not
going to help us this time (but some of the large sites like Mozilla,
Imgur, and Reddit are all against CISPA and we love them).
Can you share the flyer below on social media? And tell everyone you know to sign up to join the protest?
Thanks for everything. We’re getting the Internet organized against this bill and we really appreciate all your help to spread the word. We don't do any of this without you.

The puppet politicians are back again with their sneaky attempts to take our Internet freedom away.
Under the guise of the wording- H.R. 624-Cyber Intelligence Sharing and Protection Act certain members of our Congress are trying to sneak through this legislation that would violate our constitutional rights to freedom of speech.
They are trying to control something that is not owned by anyone.
This ACT is basically the same thing as SOPA, PIPA, ProtectIP Acts that were voted against.
But this is worse, if this ACT passes, it will give businesses every right and the amount of power to monitor the Internet and censor what we say and see on the Internet. It will allow companies to record our data and send it to the Government. All this would be allowed WITHOUT having to obtain a Warrant. This will end the freedom we have on the Internet.
CISPA, the bill that would allow corporations to share your private online data with the government, just passed the House Intelligence Committee. It's expected to be voted on next week.
More than 150,000 people have signed Daniel Jabbour's petition against CISPA as of toady - Click Here To Sign The Petition.
This proposed legislation violates the First and Fourth Amendments of the United States Constitution, which appears to no longer mean anything to our politicians and the legal system.
The Fourth Amendment of the Constitution states :
Oh you see, they have conveniently forgot their own constitution and placed this as an "intelligence terrorist act". apparently to protect us from ourselves. Such is the trash coming out of Congress today as they spit on our freedoms as Americans.
We beat CISPA last year and can beat it again. Sign the petition and call your representative now!

The First Amendment of the Constitution states that:
"Congress shall make no law respecting an
establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or
abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the
people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a
redress of grievances.
The Fourth Amendment of the Constitution states :
"The Fourth Amendment (Amendment IV) to the United States Constitution is the part of the Bill of Rights which guards against unreasonable searches and seizures, along with requiring any warrant to be judicially sanctioned and supported by probable cause. It was adopted as a response to the abuse of the writ of assistance, which is a type of general search warrant, in the American Revolution. Search and seizure (including arrest) should be limited in scope according to specific information supplied to the issuing court, usually by a law enforcement officer, who has sworn by it. The Fourth Amendment applies to the states by way of the Due Process Clause of the Fourteenth Amendment.
